The front elevation, detail of the mosaic (Christ in Majesty with apostles below), left angel; The urban fabric of medieval Lucca, most of which survives, includes many fine Romanesque churches facing piazzas, with bichrome or polychrome marble façades and rich sculptural decoration in the so-called Pisan-Luccan style. S Frediano (1112-1147), has a large mosaic on its façade. The family workshop of Berlinghiero is credited with an important mosaic of Christ and the Apostles on the façade of S.
